TABPThe Association of Bengalis in Poland

Membership rules

Translation. The Polish text of these rules is binding.

These rules complement the Statute of the Association of Bengalis in Poland (TABP) and set out how membership, fees and the members’ area of the website bengalis.pl work. If anything here conflicts with the Statute, the Statute applies.

§1 Becoming a member

  1. An ordinary member can be any adult (18 or older) who shares the aims of the Association.
  2. The candidate sends a declaration: the application form or the registration form on bengalis.pl, accepted together with these rules, the Statute and the RODO information clause. This is the written declaration required by §8 of the Statute.
  3. The candidature is supported by one of the TABP founders, and the founders decide on admission by a vote (§8a of the Statute). The candidate is told the decision by email.
  4. A family membership covers the members of one household named in the declaration. Voting rights and the right to stand for election belong to members aged 18 or older.

§2 Membership fees

  1. Monthly fees: individual 30 zł, family of two 50 zł, family with one or two children 75 zł.
  2. Fees are paid quarterly in advance, for three months at a time (90 zł, 150 zł or 225 zł a quarter).
  3. Fees are paid by bank transfer to the account of TABP’s partner foundation, Fundacja Międzykulturowej Mobilności, Edukacji i Integracji, account number PL04 2530 0008 2060 1092 4431 0001, with the transfer title „Darowizna – TABP – imię i nazwisko”.
  4. A change in the amount of the fees is announced to members by email and on the website at least 30 days before it applies.

§3 Account and members’ area

  1. To use the members’ area on bengalis.pl, a person registers with their name, email and mobile phone and confirms them with one-time codes. After confirming, they have demo access for 24 hours.
  2. When the founders accept the person as a member, they have 24 hours of access until the first fee is paid. After payment, access lasts for the paid period plus one free month.
  3. When the paid period ends, the member receives a reminder. If the next fee is not paid within the free month, access to the members’ area ends until the payment is recorded.
  4. An account is personal. The member keeps the password secret, gives true details and updates them when they change.

§4 Services directory

  1. The services directory is part of membership and is available only to members with active access.
  2. The directory is for information. TABP does not take payment for entries, does not recommend or guarantee the services listed, and is not a party to agreements between members and service providers.
  3. Discounts for members are offered by the businesses on their own terms.
  4. Members may use the directory only for their own needs. Copying it, passing its contents to others or using it for advertising is not allowed.

§5 Newsletter and communication

  1. The TABP newsletter is part of membership. Members receive it by email, a few times a year, with news about events and the Association.
  2. Notices required by the Statute, such as the calling of the General Meeting (§12), are sent to members by email.

§6 Conduct

  1. Members follow the Statute and these rules, treat one another with respect and do not act to the harm of the Association.
  2. If these rules are broken, an administrator may suspend the member’s access to the members’ area; matters of membership are decided under the Statute.

§7 Leaving TABP

  1. A member may leave TABP at any time, on the website („Leave TABP and delete my account”) or in writing.
  2. When a member leaves through the website, their account is deleted immediately and they are removed from the newsletter.
  3. Membership fees already paid are not refunded, also when the member leaves during a quarter that has been paid for.

§8 Personal data

  1. Personal data is processed as described in the RODO information clause.

§9 Final provisions

  1. These rules apply from the day they are published on bengalis.pl.
  2. Changes to these rules are announced on the website and by email at least 14 days before they apply. Members are asked to accept the new version when they next log in.
  3. The Polish text of these rules is binding.
